Star Rose, Rose Star explores the fluid interplay between star and rose motifs in woven patterns as a cosmic compass. When viewed from the reverse side of a textile, the star transforms into a rose, highlighting the adaptability and interchangeability of forms—an idea central to my practice.
Like a fractal, the star and rose fold into one another infinitely, revealing a deep interconnection between the terrestrial and the cosmic. This dual form resists fixed boundaries, breaking through traditional pattern structures, and frayed edges reaching toward the infinite. Acting as both a digital compass and a point of origin, Star Rose, Rose Star maps a multidirectional expansion—an ever-unfolding cosmos where material and meaning remain in constant transformation.
